The exhibition ‘The Other Voice’ has been organized with selected works by 35 women artists from the Bengal Foundation and Abul Khair collections. It mainly focuses on artworks created in the early 2000s. The exhibition brings together works by both well-known and relatively lesser-known artists. The exhibition ‘The Other Voice’ encourages reflection on women’s artistic practices within Bangladesh’s complex social and political context. Organized by the Bengal Arts Programme at Bengal Shilpalay, the exhibition runs for 25 days (24 December – 17 January). It was inaugurated on Wednesday, 24 December 2025, at 5 PM, at the Quamrul Hassan Exhibition Hall, Level 1, Bengal Shilpalay (House 42, Road 27, Dhanmondi, Dhaka 1209). Artists Nazlee Laila Mansur and Najmun Nahar Keya spoke at the inauguration. The exhibition shows that the female perspective is not just a theme, but a strong influence that has shaped Bangladeshi art. |

The paintings show familiar everyday events in society, which may seem ordinary at first, but are presented from a female perspective, highlighting domestic, personal, and quiet changes that happen at home. ‘The Other Voice’ is an important initiative that honors the work of women artists and the diverse histories behind it. |
