On the occasion of the 110th birth anniversary of Shilpacharya Zainul Abedin, the three-day Zainul Utsab-2024 was celebrated at the Faculty of Fine Arts, Dhaka University. This was the 24th edition of the festival.

December 29 is the birthday of Shilpacharya Zainul Abedin. A three-day Zainul Utsav is organized every year to mark his birthday. This year, the fair held on the 27th, 28th, and 29th December. The students were sitting at the corridor next to the main gate of the Faculty of Fine Arts, arranging stalls with products.

The exhibition featured drawings and works by students from all departments, including drawing and painting, sculpture, graphic design, printmaking, oriental art, ceramics, etc. Not only were the products drawn and made by the students being sold, but teachers also participated by creating their own illustrations.

On the other side, artisans from all over the country sat with their creative products. There were clay dolls, flowers made of shola, crowns, masks and many more. In addition, there were several stalls of pakha, woven products, traditional Nakshi Kantha. The special attractions of the fair were a bioscope, stalls of cakes and various food items, and cultural programs.
