Kusum Residence in Zinda Park is a lovely residential double storey house specially designed for Tobarak Hossain Kusum. The charming house made of brick, mortar, cement has special attraction of the entire Zinda Park. Also the use of wood in some places makes the house more attractive.

The house is a modern version of the old village house. It has open courtyards, walkways. There is a large courtyard on the outside of the house, with a small reservoir in the middle, called the Shapla Pond.

With high ceilings, large windows and skylights above, the ground floor living room is designed in such a way that anyone can spend time here in a comfortable environment. Large windows provide ventilation, while also connecting the interior with the exterior. Large yard, reservoir, greenery - everything creates a fairy-tale atmosphere inside the house.

The dining area and kitchen are not attached with the main house. A large round wooden table and wooden seating add to the beauty of the dining area.

Next to the dining area is the kitchen and in one corner there is an artistic staircase, which leads from the dining area to the terrace. From the inner courtyard, the dining area is lowered by a few steps, and the main house is raised by a few steps. These ups and downs of the steps create a different charm inside the house.

The bedroom on the 1st floor has a small sitting area. The balcony of the room has a very nice view of the whole yard. There is another small room on the mezzanine floor. High ceilings and wide unglazed wooden windows allow ample light and air inside the room. There are numerous species of plants all over the house, which gives the house a calm and cool atmosphere.

Cafeteria Cover

The cafeteria at Zinda Park is a two storied building. There is a small snacks and juice bar next to the dining area on the ground floor. There is a double-height space right in the middle of the dining area. This space on the second floor has a small bridge connection. This double-height space creates a more courtyard-like atmosphere. The entire cafeteria is made of concrete blocks and the walls are not plastered. As the wall around the dining hall is low, there is a nice combination of the green environment outside with the indoor environment.
